Beijing International Bookstore is Beijing's largest single-floor book market, with sections dedicated to foreign books published in China with imported copyrights and imported foreign books. It sells publications of CIPG as well as foreign bestsellers.

In September 1952, the China International Book Trading Corporation under CIPG went to Leipzig Book Fair for the first time. Since then, CIPG has sent delegations to major international book fairs around the world every year.

Since the 1970s, CIPG has been organizing other Chinese publishing houses to take part in Frankfurt Book Fair, London Book Fair, Book Expo America, Bologna Book Fair in Italy and dozens of book fairs in Spain, Moscow, Cairo, South Africa, Saint Paul of Brazil, Tokyo and New Delhi of India.
